The purpose of YMCA sports is to help develop young people in character through values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility; psychologically by teaching young people to control emotions and develop feelings of self worth; socially by learning how to cooperate in an a competitive context in a sportsmanship-like manner; physically by improving physical condition and teaching sports skills.
 

 

Youth Basketball (3-5 Years Old)
Boys and girls ages 3-5 yrs old join the Southeastern Indiana YMCA for an exciting season of youth basketball. The Rookies Program is an introductory league which the children are introduced to the great game of basketball. We urge parent./ child involvement but there are volunteer coaches to assist.

 

Youth Basketball (K - 3rd Grade) 
Boys and girls 1st-3rd grade join the Southeastern Indiana YMCA for an exciting season of youth basketball.  Rookies Program is an introductory league which the participants are taught the fundamentals of the game of basketball. Volunteer coaches needed to assist.
 

Youth Girls Basketball 
Girls 4th - 6th Grade join the Southeastern Indiana YMCA for an exciting season of youth basketball. 

The Rookies Program is an introductory league which the participants are taught the fundamentals of the game of basketball. Volunteer coaches needed to assist.
