does income based membership rates mean? Membership rates can be based on total household income and number of dependents. What

if I don’t file taxes? Why
do I have to swipe my membership card if the door is already open? and should use their card as they go through the door. As a card is swiped, it checks the member in as well as opens the door. Using a membership card allows the Member Service staff to recognize members and helps to ensure the value of a membership by allowing only members to access the facility. (If a membership card is lost, no one else will be able to use it as a member picture shows on the door computer when a card is swiped). This assures security as well as maintaining membership statistics. If a family member does not have their card with them, we ask that they sign in at the Desk. What
happens if I or my kids lose a membership card? Children age 8 and older can be in certain parts of the building by themselves without a parent present. They may use the recreation center, the gymnasium and the pool. Children under 8 must be directly supervised by an adult 16 or older and can be in those same areas, or may use the Toyroom (ages 6 weeks thru 7 years) or use Child Watch (ages 4-7). Information is available at the Member Service Desk. There are also a variety of programs available for all age groups (see Class Schedule). Can my child be on the indoor track with me? Children age 10 or 11 may be on the indoor track with a parent by their side. They may begin using the indoor track by themselves at age 12.
Will
it cost anything if I want to bring a guest with me? A day pass can be used for a family (parents and their own children), adults or children. Adults and families may come in on their own, but a child under 16 must be accompanied by a member or an adult 16 or older. Day passes are always available for a fee of $18- Family, $12- adult, $9-Senior (62 or older), $7-Youth (4 thru high school). Children age 3 and under are free.
AQUATICS
When
can I use the pool? A pool schedule is available to show what activities are going on at different times of the day. This will allow you to choose the best time for your needs
Do
I have to be in the water while my child swims? A child 8 or older may be in the pool without an adult. To be in the deep end of the pool, a child must be able to swim the length of the pool.
FITNESS Do I have to schedule an Orientation in the fitness center? We encourage all new members to get a free “orientation” in the fitness area. During this orientation, our knowledgeable fitness staff will show you how to set up and use the fitness equipment and will be able to answer your general fitness questions. Group orientation times are available on a regular basis throughout the week. We also have personal trainers available by appointment for a fee.
What is a fitness Orientation? Orientations are very important for safety and effectiveness in the weight room. Please take the time to participate - they are free!
We encourage all new members to arrive 10 minutes early to fitness classes. Please introduce yourself and let the fitness instructor your level (beginner, intermediate or advanced). This will help us greatly enhance your class experience and comfort level.
What is age requirement for Fitness area? Children age 12 thru 15 may use the fitness area after completing a free youth strength training class. They may sign up for this by contacting the Fitness office. 16 years and older my sign up for an orientation.
